Coca-Cola is an American multinational beverage corporation, best known as the producer of the world’s most famous carbonated soft drink, of the same name. The company was founded in 1886, by pharmacist Dr.John Pemberton in Atlanta, when he introduced his ‘healthy tonic’ to the world. It was originally sold in pharmacies and became popular with people of all ages for its medicinal properties. Since then, and after several changes of ownership, the company has gone from strength to strength and now sells over 500 brands (which include Sprite, Fanta, Lilt, Dr Pepper, as well as a large range of diet Coca-Cola varieties), in almost every country in the world. It employs over 700,000 people, is the worlds’ sixth most valuable brand, and in 2021 the company’s revenue was almost $40 billion.
